Adept at making quick command decisions, Adder specializes boosting his unit's speed and mobility on the battlefield, with versatilite application of his powers besides just combat. Adder gathers energy for his CO powers faster than most other COs by having a shorter CO meter, and is therefore why Adder is able to activate his CO powers more frequently than most other COs. Adder also is one of a select few COs able to consecutively chain his normal CO power twice in a row, sustaining longer what extra momentum granted from his powers.

PERSONALITY

Adder is a Black Hole commanding officer that first appeared in Advance Wars 2. His pale skin and purple hair set him apart from other COs but his most defining characteristic is his ego. Adder is a narcissistic man who sees others beneath him and isn't concerned about anything but his own needs and his face. One of his worst habits is constantly underestimating opponents, preferring to insult them instead of taking them seriously. He often blames his failure on others or the weather.

BACKGROUND

Black Hole's invasion of the Macro Land region enables Adder the opportunity of limited skermishes into Orange Star and Blue Moon territories, taking part in these regions, supporting each of Flak and Lash's own campaign efforts.

Dispatched by Sturm's orders, Adder debuts in the Orange Star campaign, matched against Max, in a fog of war encounter. Adder schemes to bait Max to battle, luring the direct-combat specialist with captured Orange Star prisoner of wars, in an ambush attempt with indirect-combat units. He also supervises Flak's efforts to hold control of the Factory province, lending advice, if skeptical and amused about Flak's competency to accomplish his task.

Against Grit in Blue Moon, Adder attempts to recruit Grit into defecting for Black Hole as Grit did for Orange Star, despite threats to overrun the Blue Moon province with an heavy armored assault. He also provides input towards Lash's task to hold Black Hole's Factory sector in Blue Moon, if doubts continue to likewise linger in Lash's ability to withstand the Allied Nation's assault.

In the Yellow Comet campaign, Adder assumes a more prominent role, and manages to overtake huge swathes of the country, besting the native COs Sensei, Sonja and Kanbei. Yet, despite what attempts to retain conquered territory, Adder and his Black Hole colleagues are forcibly routed once more into a retreat, given the intervention of the Allied Nation's overwhelming force.

On Green Earth, Adder is demoted by Hawke's orders back into a support role, placed under Hawke's command in light of his repeated failures. Adder is ordered the task of fortifying Black Hole's fortress emplacement against Eagle's airborne onslaught, although unsuccessful despite Hawke taking direct command of the situation. Again on Green Earth, despite Adder's initial success in surrounding Sami's expeditionary force with annihilation, and demands to surrender, Eagle's intervention preempts Adder's further efforts to captialize off what initial gains accomplished.

When the Allied Nations corner and defeat Sturm's forces on Black Hole's main base of operations, and Hawke usurps command from Sturm, Adder exhibits a compliance to follow Hawke's lead, in the efforts to maintain his own position of power in Black Hole's hierarchy chain of command. This, despite Adder's personal reservations however uncertain of where he'll fit within Black Hole's future prospects and change of management.
